8 years ago, on May 6, 2014, doctors at Regions Hostpial in Saint Paul, MN; removed a brain tumor from my head. Dr. Mendez team removed a brain tumor called Subependymoma, It was located on the Fourth Ventricular. On March 30th I had my annual brain MRI. I am Please to announce that there is no evidence of recurrence. There is no accute or subaccute infarct. No accute hemorrhage. 8 years ago when I was rushed in to the ER, I was experincing different types of symptoms the main one that was concering was clusterd head aches. The pain that I was experincing was exruciating.

I was rushed in on May 2, they did an emergency MRI. They had several doctors rushing in and finally Dr. Petterson, and Dr. Mendez came in to let me know that I had a brain tumor. I dont remember much of what they said at the time. But They kept me over night. I was not aware at the time that I would be pregnant. That story will be done later down this post. The eventually send me Home one day before the surgery to remove the beast that was my brain tumor. They waited till the last minute to do any blood work and during that blood work. They found out I was 2 and half weeks pregnant with my now 7 year old son.

The surgery they had plan. Had to be scrubbed. Dr. Mendez came in and gave me 3 new options.

Option: Remove the tumor and the fetus.
Option: Keep both have the baby and then remove the tumor and then go through chemo.
option: Get rid of the tumor and keep the baby.

I had chosen option number 3 and moved on with the surgery; with new medication so it would not harm the fetus at the the time. They took the 4 hour surgery and turned it to a 8 hour surgery and 3 days later I woke up in the ICU. Had They not found the tumor I would not found out I was pregant. I would not be here. My Son would not be here. So This my open letter to Regions Hospital and their staff. Thank you for not only saving my life but saving my sons life too.

Hearing Assist Dog Go Fund Me! Medical Cost for the Dog!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Nyleve and I am Deaf and Hard of Hearing, single mother of one. I live in a small to medium size apartment. Sometimes it is hard for me to hear the door bell go off, listen for the time on the stove to go off when I am cooking and also smell when things are burning in the apt. Having a Hearing assist dog will help. With having the hearing Assist dog in my apartment with my 6 year old son will be safer for us to live in. I will be able be alerted when things goes on in the our home. The hearing assistance dog does not cost anything but the medical cost will and Can Do Canines wants to make sure that I am finically able to provide medical care when the time is needed.

I am currently unemployed due to Covid and I am currently going back to college to receive my first degree as well. This well greatly help me achieve my goal when I apply for the hearing assist dog in next coming months.

#LOFASM Season 3 Launch/ Race Riots, and more!

Indeed, its been a while since we have uploaded a video on to #LOFASM. During the first 6 months of this year has been super busy, crazy and wow a pandemic, we almost went into WWIII, Australia caught on fire and we had a 1968 race riot that is still going on. This all started in the first four months of this year. On May 25th 2020, George Floyd was killed by 4 Minneapolis Police Officers, All of whom have since been fired by Minneapolis Police Department and charged by the State of Minnesota. Since then it has sparked nation wide protest starting in Minneapolis.

As we watched this unfold in my Hometown. I knew I had to be deeply involved this time around. No more sitting by and watching our sons, fathers, family. I had to make escape plans when the riots took place at night in the Midway area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. We later found out that it was White Supremacist and KKK Members setting stores on fire in our neighborhoods in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. When Reverend Al Sharpton Set a movement to meet at Washington DC, on the same day that Martin Luther King marched to Washington DC for the same thing we are still fighting today. . I decided I needed to be there to witness the 2.0 Civil Rights movement.

While this was all going on I was still maintaining my classwork at Saint Paul College. Getting A’s and B’s for the summer semester. My Goal is still to obtain my Masters in Communications. As things died down a bit here in Minnesota, life seems to be getting back on track for people and I decided to get back on YouTube. Although I have not been making videos on YouTube, I Have been making small videos on TikTok. Where my following has been more then my YouTube channel. During Season 3 of Life of a Single Mother, I plan on posting some of those videos that I have taken at the protest along with my News appearance on Channel 4.

I would like to take this time to thank you for sticking with me during these difficult times. I have no clue on how some channels took this opportunity to continue to film during these hard times.

Brain Tumor Symptoms Back?

I’ve waited this long to write this article about my Brain Tumor Symptoms. Now is the time I need to write about it and how I feel about not being able to work as Doctors try to prevent more pain and managing my pain levels. right now I am taking a new medication called Nortriptyline. It makes me tired and weak, so weak that on 11/21/2019 I was dizzy on the bus on my way home. I still have headaches.

I feel right now like I’m in a dream state of mind, if that makes sense. I am currently not feeling well and I’m unsure when I will be able to return to work.

I will do a YouTube video soon but not right now.
